Host : Hello Mark & Raymond
Mark : Hi everybody, looking forward to this session. Happy to introduce our project Triall.io, and to share our excitement
Raymond : Hi guys! great to be here
Host : thank you mate, this is our pleasure having an AMA with Triall ! shall we start the Q&A?
Mark : Yep, ready when you are
Host : okaylet’s go for the first segmentQ1. Can you introduce yourself to our community ?
Raymond : Hi, my name is Raymond van der Waal and I’m co-founder and Head of Marketing at Triall, where I’m currently lead responsible for all of our marketing, communication, and business development activities. My background is in biomedical sciences and business management and I have previously built experience as a researcher, entrepreneur, and consultant.
Mark :Yes of course! I’m Mark van der Waal, co-founder and Head of Product Design for Triall.io. Also a PhD candidate in Health Technology Innovation. At Triall, I oversee design and development of our blockchain-integrated software solutions for clinical trial professionals. Fun fact: my grandfather was born on Java, Indonesia. I’ve visited once, and I would love to come back in the future
Host : don’t forget for come to cryptoiz mate, if you have a free time. okay, i know both of you is have a lot of experience
Q2. Could you tell more about Triall ?
Mark : Absolutely, let me give you a summary of our project: Triall develops blockchain-integrated software that promote the reliability and efficiency of medical research and clinical trials. Clinical trials are research studies that are necessary to evaluate the safety and efficacy of new vaccines and medicines before these enter the market. I think that everyone around the world understands the importance of having safe and effective vaccines and medicines, especially in emergency situations such as now with COVID-19
By using targeted blockchain integrations, our software optimizes data integrity, auditability, and operational efficiency in clinical trial projects. We have deep roots in the clinical trial, enterprise software, and blockchain industries, and we are supported by an international network of partners and industry expert advisors. Together with our partners and advisors, we are leading the implementation of blockchain in the clinical trial industry.
Just to give you an idea of our industry:Our industry spends around $200 billion on research & development of new vaccines and drugs each year. The majority of that budget is spent on clinical trials.
Our software solutions are targeted at the market for clinical trial software. This market is growing fastly (CAGR 13.8%) due to the growing digitalization, decentralization and globalization of the clinical trial industry. This growth is likely to be even higher due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has forced many stakeholders to work remotely and digitize key trial procedures. That’s a really short summary of Triall, but happy to give more details anytime
Host : yes mate, now we have the pandemic and i think you got a great potential right now to improve your project and also you can introduce how the blockchain is work.
Q3. How blockchain can help health sector please brief in detail and what Triall role ?
Mark : Great question, let me explain !
Blockchain offers incredible tools for solving several of the major issues right now in our industry. Our team has studied our industry for years now, thinking about ways to solve these issues.
We’re the first organization in the world to actually apply blockchain technology in a live and running clinical trial.
Blockchain offers a unique tool to address the following key industry problems:
(1) Traceability and auditability of clinical trial data and operations. Clinical trial prjects have become increasingly digital and data-heavy.
(2) Increasing complexity and fragmentation. Clinical trials have become increasingly complex. Clinical trials now involve many specialized parties, across many regions, using their own software systems. These systems don’t interact well with each other. The problem is: how to enable safe and compliant transfer of clinical trial data between organizations and systems?
To address problem (1), our first product Verial eTMF enables the user to create verifiable proof of the existence and integrity of their trial-related documents through the creation of blockchain-registered immutable audit trials. This assures clinical trial professionals, regulatory authorities, patients, and other stakeholders that the clinical trial data is reliable, and that nobody has (un)intentionally tampered with it.
To address problem (2), we are introducing a blockchain-enabled decentralized identity and access management layer, using technologies such as Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) and verifiable credentials. This enables secure and efficient connections between currently isolated clinical trial software systems and their users. In other words, this will shape a digital ‘ecosystem’ of clinical trial systems.
By connecting to our ecosystem, clinical trial professionals (such as pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, academic researchers) can authenticate their data using our blockchain infrastructure. Moreover, they can exchange data with other systems and users in our ecosystem in a secure and efficient way.
These solutions promise to secure and streamline the clinical trials of tomorrow, that will be increasingly digital. In this way, we aim to contribute to reliable, more-efficient development of vaccines and medicines for all.
Host : Q4. I see Trial still on the token sale phase , what stage right now and will you have IDO or IEO plan
Raymond :
Indeed, registration for our token sale has recently opened. We welcome both retail and institutional investors to register their interest by signing up through our website (triall.io).
We are now selecting and onboarding investors with strong added value for our Private Pre-sale cohort. This Private round is meant exclusively for investors who can serve as ambassador of the Triall brand by providing exceptional value to the growth of our ecosystem. Please contact our investor relations team ([email protected]) to schedule a call if you are interested in joining forces.
We will start a liquidity pool on Uniswap right after our TGE and have many more partnerships in the works that we will announce over the months to come
Host : don’t forget to join Triall token sale guys. Q5. What your current development progress and what will come in coming months ?
Raymond : We have been sharpening our vision and plans for several years now. Our full focus is now on the development of the first range of core software solutions, which we are developing and releasing with our partners in an agile way.
Our first big target in terms of development: the moment when our first range of core solutions together shape what we call our ‘Minimum Viable Ecosystem’: a multi-sided platform of modular, complementary, and interoperable software solutions for clinical trials. This digital ecosystem will introduce the advantages of an all-encompassing software suite to clinical trial stakeholders around the world, while continuing to tailor to diverse user types, needs, and need-nots.Moreover, we strongly believe in the power of community. Therefore, we are heavily investing in expanding our marketing reach and building a strong community of synergetic partners, advisors, investors, and stakeholders that bridges the healthcare and crypto domains.
Host : Q6. Behind success project that will be a strong and solid team behind the scene , can you share to us your team members ?
Mark :Yep, happy to introduce our team. We house a unique combination of expertise. We bring together people from clinical trials, enterprise software, and blockchain development. Combined, we have managed 100+ clinical trials, and co-founded 20+ ventures in the medical research/clinical trials and software domains. Some of these have successfully grown into companies with 100+ FTE. This experience has left us with deep roots in the clinical trial industry and strong ties to blockchain and IT standards groups (W3C, DIF, IEEE).
Our developers have been making blockchain-integrated products for enterprise and government application for several years now.
Our clinical trials and blockchain experience provide us with a great network: this allows us to rapidly pilot test new software features with medical researchers who are working in clinical trials on a daily basis. It also provides us with the insights and network to continue operating at the forefront of industry developments.
So just to summarize, I think we have a great combination of skills and knowledge aboard. And I think this makes us the perfect ‘translator’ for blockchain technology in our industry. We’re leading the implementation of blockchain in clinical trials. And I’m convinced blockchain will become one of the key tools: since in our industry, it is all about establishing reliable evidence about the safety and efficacy of new vaccines and medicines!
Host : Q7. Will you have partnership with health organization or crypto project ?
Mark :
bsolutely, at this point in time, Triall is already supported by an international network of partners that bridges the healthcare and blockchain domains.
Partnerships that have been instrumental to our success so far include our technology partner Sphereon.com (with whom we have co-developed our first application Verial eTMF and blockchain microservices), and our clinical operations partner CR2O.nl (a clinical contract research organization that operates in international clinical trials for vaccines and drugs on a daily basis, and with whom we can rapidly pilot test our sofware solutions). Moreover, our partnership with leading blockchain development agency Applicature.com has been key to the design, preparation and execution of our token sale, which is now in full swing.
Currently, we’re in talks with many more strategic partners in the healthcare and blockchain domains, who will be gradually announced over the coming period. Our core focus is the sustainable growth of our ecosystem and its underlying token TRL, and onboarding new partners is key to this objective.
Host : where we will have this information about your token sale?
Raymond : More details can be found here: https://insights.triall.io/triall-pre-sale-details-token-allocation/
Host : Q8. Last question is about COVID-19 we want to know your opinion can blockhain and specially Triall can help this pandemic over ?
Mark : This is very interesting! Just recently, research by our team was published in the renowned scientific journal Science (https://science.sciencemag.org/content/368/6492/719).
And it was exactly about this topic: How blockchain can be used as a standard, public tool to improve the response to epidemics / pandemics.
I think this truly shows the ‘inter-disciplinary’ nature of our team, since this research article integrates insights from infectious diseases, vaccine development, and blockchain technology.

But regarding our role, as Triall: We will support developers of new vaccines and medicines in their clinical trial projects. We aim to facilitate data integrity, traceability, and operational efficiency. Ultimately, our approach should contribute to faster, more reliable, less costly development of vaccines and medicines.
Mark : Our first product, Verial eTMF, is currently used by clinical researchers in actual, real-world clinical trials. More paying customers will be onboarded soon. Fun fact: one of these customers uses our product in a clinical trial for a new COVID-19 vaccine. Host : please choose 5 winners mate !
Member 1 : If you were to explain TRIALL to a layman who has virtually no experience about crypto what would you say?
Raymond : Excellent question! Let me give you a short and crispy answer
Triall is a frontrunner in applying blockchain-enabled technologies to promote data integrity, auditability, and operational efficiency in the clinical trial industry. Their solutions will gradually shape a digital ecosystem for clinical trial stakeholders that is underpinned by a two-token system that serves as a means of payment, governance, and community engagement.
Member 2 : The only way blockchain industry will expand and grow is if we have users that will be able to use products with ease. What are some of the unique features of TRIALL that would help attract more users as well as developers to it?
Mark : This is a good one. And this is something that I’m really passionate about: blockchain technology, crypto, or any technology for that matter, should not be the end goal. It should be considered as a TOOL for great user-centered products. You should never forget that in the end it is all about having products that offer a great user experience, and that solve actual real-world user problems. At Triall, we have started with identifying these problems, having managed 100+ clinical trial projects in the past. Understanding these real-world problems, we realized that blockchain and related technologies offered great tools. This is probably different than some other projects, who are just ‘blockchaining’ everything: they start with the solution, looking for a problem. So to summarize: we should solve actual real-world needs with attractive, smooth, good working products. We are focused on doing that precisely!
Member 3 : I want to learn more about TRIALL ; but the information is very small;the community is relatively empty and less; what strategy does TRIALL team have to de TRIALLp the community and maintain long-term user?
Mark : What is the structure of TRIALL , is it decentralised or a open sourced protocol where everybody can contribute? If so, how does the governance plan on being handled?
Wonderful to hear! We’re just getting started with our marketing, because we have been focused on our development for the past several years. So more information will be released over the coming weeks. And this is exactly why we do AMAs right now: to introduce the world to the project. Really exciting, because we now have both the means and the momentum to realize our plans, and make a big positive impact.
Regarding our strategy for engaging the community: this is one of our key priorities right now. We truly believe that to build and grow a sustainable ecosystem, community engagement and bottom-up initiatives are key.
We will involve community members in shaping the future of our ecosystem, for instance by engaging them through our investment vehicle: the Triall Community Fund (TCF). This community fund will comprise 10% of the total TRL token supply.
The TCF is established to help the Triall ecosystem grow globally through community-sponsored projects and initiatives. Examples of such projects may include a TRL (mobile) wallet, applications, token integration with other networks, marketing campaigns, websites promoting Triall, bounty programs, and competitions, or any other initiative that reaches a majority vote. After the initial pool of 10% of TRL tokens has been depleted, part of the sustainable operating income from Triall may be reinvested into the TCF.
Member 4 :What is the structure of TRIALL , is it decentralised or a open sourced protocol where everybody can contribute? If so, how does the governance plan on being handled?
Raymond : In designing the Triall ecosystem, we believe in a healthy balance of centralized and decentralized elements.
In our ‘ecosystem vision’, we aim to grow beyond the traditional two-way interaction approach, building towards a multi-sided platform for clinical trial stakeholders. This platform will move away from data siloes and fragmented clinical trial operations, towards a digital culture of inclusion and productive collaboration, allowing different systems to share data.
On the technology side we are as blockchain agnostic as we can by providing specifications and having blockchain abstractions. The community will play a vital role in the direction of Triall as well. We envision to basically grow from a bigger percentage of centralization in the beginning towards more decentralization at later stages.
Member 5 : Please tell us more about farming on your platform. How can I get TRIALL tokens and on which trading platform can I sell hi ?
Mark : So as explained a bit earlier, we will first have our Private Pre-sale rounds. These rounds are exclusively for investors who can prove that they can add to the growth of our project. We’re currently selecting just the right investors for this Private Pre-sale. Then, directly after our token generation event, we will start a liquidity pool on Uniswap, where people can start trading TRL tokens immediately. We have detailed all our token pools in the materials on our website, so go have a look if you want to join our growth. And of course, everything starts with the whitelist, which you can also find on our website triall.io
