Indonesian YouTuber, Bro Omen, who has around 1.5 million subscribers, had to sell his YouTube account due to losses from crypto fraud.
Not only that, Bro Omen also admitted that he had mortgaged his house for IDR 5 billion for crypto investment capital. In total, Omen spent up to IDR 10 billion in capital in this crypto investment.
“So the story is, I was tricked into a crypto scam which had a huge value. All my assets had to be sold and even confiscated,” said Bro Omen in a video on his YouTube channel, quoted on Wednesday (4/10/2023).
Omen explained that when investing in crypto he invested all his money because he was tempted by what his friends said.
He also admitted he was guilty because of his intention to double his money, which was worth billions of rupiah.
“My friend didn’t take advantage of my loss because he was also affected. That was my mistake, I really believed what he said because at that time I had stable finances,” explained Omen.
Have Experienced the Benefits
Before experiencing losses, Omen said he had experienced profits when he first invested in crypto. With initial capital of IDR 1 million, Omen managed to achieve profits of up to IDR 10 million.
“I felt like I was winning and it really made me feel wow that I could do it this fast. So I was amazed,” explained Omen. As a result of the profits, Omen finally discussed with his wife the idea of mortgaging the house and borrowing IDR 5 billion from the bank with a tenor of 6 months.
“So my house will probably also be confiscated by the bank,” said Omen.
Coin Working System : In a video on his YouTube channel, Omen also explains the working system of his investment crypto coins. He said that his crypto assets have a lock system for a certain period of time and cannot be sold.
“So when I bought it, my coins immediately increased 5 times. But I couldn’t sell them yet. Entering the fifth month the price started to go up and down, but in the sixth month the price dropped and it turned out the website was fake,” concluded Omen.
