Indonesia’s large cryptocurrency community, Cryptoiz, took the initiative to educate artists, especially Indonesian musicians, about NFT (non-fungible tokens) by holding a music event titled “The Roots of Satoshi Nakamoto”
Music Event
This event contains a series of musical instrument competitions, ranging from guitar, bass, drums, and other instruments. Cryptoiz also invites anyone who feels they can make music to participate in this exciting event. In addition to free registration, the race winners will get an appreciation in the form of prizes with total cash up to Rp 20,000,000 (IDR).
In addition, the best works will also be an announcement on the most significant and first NFT marketplace in Indonesia, namely TokoMall from Tokocrypto (crypto asset buying and selling platform). Participants must follow the main requirement to create an account on the Tokocrypto platform to participate in this competition. Later, the winner will send prizes through to the Tokocrypto account.
About NFT
NFT can be interpreted as a token that is a proof/certificate of legal ownership of a digital asset, digital artwork. All digital assets can be NFT. The types are diverse, ranging from visual artwork, graphics, audio to video. Its characteristics are unique, collectible, original, and rare, so NFT is different from other works of art. Its existence on the blockchain also makes the royalty system in NFT transparent, and every sale and auction transaction will be recorded and recorded permanently.
The booming NFT trend in the global crypto industry is slowly impacting Indonesia. Some artists have created to glance at NFT, researcher and author Denny JA managed to sell NFT painting titled “A Portrait of Denny JA – 40 Years in the World of Ideas” worth one billion Rupiah through the OpenSea marketplace. Painter Galam Zulkifli originally owned the work sold at a fantastic price.
Previously, the preliminary event “Road to The Roots of Satoshi Nakamoto” was held (17/9/2021). The talk show format event presents several guest stars of musicians from Bandung, such as Aska Rocket Rockers and Beng Beng PAS Band, which will also enliven “The Roots of Satoshi Nakamoto” later.
