The company announced this development on X (formerly Twitter). In response, Mixin Network has enlisted the help of SlowMist, a blockchain security firm, to conduct an investigation.
According to SlowMist’s statement, the Mixin Network cloud service provider’s database was compromised during an attack on Saturday. Mixin Network has stated that they plan to reopen these services once they’ve identified and addressed the vulnerabilities. Importantly, they have assured users that transfers are not affected during this period.
To shed light on the exploit and provide further information, Mixin Network’s founder, Feng Xiaodong, will host a livestream in Mandarin at 3 p.m. Hong Kong time today.
In summary, Mixin Network has temporarily suspended certain services in response to a significant hack, but they are actively working to resolve the issue and will keep users informed through their founder’s livestream.
