What makes this NFT interesting is that instead of one person owning the entire NFT, The Merge is fractionated and distributed among 28,983 merchants. This results in over 300,000 fractionated NFT pieces per person.

Everydays: The First 5000 Days

Next in the row of the most expensive NFTs in 2nd place is occupied by Everydays. Everydays was created by digital artist Mike Winkelmann, also known as Beeple, who is currently a mainstay in the NFT universe.

The praise that many people gave to Winkelmann was because of his work Everydays: The First 5000 Days which sold for USD 69 million. Everydays: The First 5000 Days is a collage created over 13 years by Winkelmann, he started working on it in 2007 and finished in 2020.

Human One

Everydays: The First 5,000 Days isn’t the only digital art by Beeple to make headlines this year. Another masterpiece, called Human One, sold for USD 28.9 million at another auction organized by Christie’s. This price is double the expected price.
